Betsy started her agency in 1988 as E.L. Wells and Company in Federal Way, Washington. Following her marriage in 1989, she changed the name to McGreer and Company and moved it to its present location in Lewiston, Idaho.  Beginning with a focus on the forest products industry, the Company expanded into bonds for general contractors when Mark Richardson joined as a licensed agent in 1996.

 

Betsy McGreer has represented the concerns of both the timber industry and the bonding industry before state and federal agencies and legislators.  She chairs both the Financial Security and Stewardship Contracting Subcommittees of the Federal Timber Purchasers Committee, working with the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management on their timber sale contract proposals.
